Almost four pounds gone. That’s in the average of two pounds per week, since I didn’t go last week. I’m happy. If I’d exercised, it might have been more.
The meeting was useful. We discussed “Actunity.” Find the opportunity for activity. I don’t like the word “exercise.” It [...]

The first time I walked into the gym, I was overwhelmed. Where to start, what to do? All those people in there working their butts off, and I felt like a fat lump. They were going to laugh at me! But, I made up my mind that I wanted to do this, so I jumped on the treadmill, I set it for 30 minutes. Ten minutes later, my legs were wobbly, and I gave up. Thought I was going to embarrass myself by falling on my face! But, I didn’t. I wasn’t satisfied with that 10 minutes, so I decided to ride one of the stationary bikes. Upright or recumbent? I chose the recumbent because it looked easier. I already had an upright bike at home. Because I had a bad back (because of my weight and an epidural due to two deliveries), I found the recumbent to be easier. I rode that for 30 minutes. Did it make me tired? Yep, it sure did. I gave up on trying any of the other machines, got dressed and went home. Satisfied that at least it was a start!
